K&B Machine Works is introducing a new corporate identity beginning in January, 2014, coinciding with the company’s 40th anniversary celebration. The company has also announced its new name, which will be K&B Industries beginning January 1, 2014. To go along with the new, updated name, a fresh corporate identity has been developed. The centerpiece of this new image is a redesigned logo, developed to effectively represent K&B’s high standards for quality work and superior customer service, as well as for its forward-thinking, positive approach to the marketplace.
Said Kenny Wood, Jr., K&B President, “We feel we have worked hard to set the standard for superior workmanship and responsive service, and we want a name and brand image that reflects the overall quality and professionalism of our organization.”
The new name was chosen to reflect the company’s rapid growth and expansion of its scope and capabilities. Added Wood, “The addition of “Industries” to our K&B name more accurately represents our world-class capabilities and service offerings. We are continuing to deliver even greater services to our customers, and we wanted our name to better reflect the scope of what we bring to the marketplace.”
The new logo, an evolution of the company’s current mark, features a much more streamlined and modern graphic treatment of the letters “K” and “B.” A plus (+) sign, used to represent the positive direction of the company in its relationship with the oil and gas industry, replaces the ampersand (&) symbol used in the previous logo. In addition, this plus sign also reflects the equally positive outlook and attitude of the company’s staff, and the value-added level of service and effort provided to the company’s customers every day.
While K&B has long been known throughout the industry as a friendly, approachable source for manufacturing, threading, and fabrication services, the company has grown to the point where its capabilities and technology are world class. While communicating its growth in sophistication and capabilities, K&B will always emphasize a high level of responsiveness and customer-centric operation that is true to its roots as a service company.
According to Wood, “As we approach our fourth decade of operation, the timing is right for a new company image. Given our overall growth as a company, including new facilities opening next summer, the time couldn’t be better to unveil the new K&B brand.” Wood also added, “While we are proud of our growth in scope and capabilities, we remain fully focused on continuing to deliver the best in responsive customer support. We know that service, support, and a customer-first orientation have been key to our success.”
The company is opening a new 200,000 + sq. ft. corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Houma, Louisiana, in summer of 2014. In addition, K&B’s Houston facility will expand to include a large OD line, which is set to open in the spring of 2014.
“Our goal is, and has always been, to be the best at what we do,” stated Mr. Wood. “We need to look the part, too.”
