K&B INDUSTRIES COMPLETES NEW MANUFACTURING FACILITY TO BETTER SERVE GROWING CUSTOMER BASE

K&B Industries has announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Houma, Louisiana. This new facility was built in direct response to the rapid rate of growth the company has experienced over the past decade, and was designed specifically to accommodate K&B’s daily operations, optimizing efficiency, quality, and safety.

Featuring more than 200,000 square feet of manufacturing and premium threading space organized for optimal access, the new facility houses over 60 mills, lathes, and 5-axis machines. Also on site are the UNISIG Deep Hole Drilling and Sunnen Honing machines, considered best-in-class for centerline-drilled holes customized to individual pipe specifications.

Stated Kenny Wood, Jr., President of K&B Industries, “All of us at K&B have worked very hard to make this new facility a reality. We’re already seeing improvements in lead times and process efficiencies – our customers have indicated that this will help their operations immensely.”
In addition to full-length premium threading, K&B will continue to offer a wide range of services and capabilities. These include manufacturing of tubular accessories, welding and fabrication, engineering services, and customer inventory services. The current East Houma location remains in operation, housing additional full-length threading of casing and tubing, as well as manufacturing of coupling.
